About Dianoush Emami

Dianoush Emami has spent 37 years as an electrical engineer in the state of California. Over the course of his career he has gained experience at facilities in the nuclear, alternative energy, and fossil fuel sectors. Dianoush Emami has also worked in areas of electrical high-voltage transmission and project design and management. Furthermore, he has prepared substation grounding reports for 160 unique substations throughout California.

Dianoush Emami studied electrical engineering at the University of Southern California, where he received a bachelor of science in electrical engineering. He also holds Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) certification in the state of California. In addition to his work as an electrical engineer, he engages with a range of industry groups, including the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) working groups 10 and 14. In this role, he is tasked with elevating Electrical Power Research Institute (EPRI) substation automation specification to meet IEC standards for all distribution management systems.
